About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for a positive, energetic and reliable Kitchen Assistants to join our team at DHB Wairarapa Hospital. Hours of work are Permanent, Part-Time with a minimum of 21 hours a week.

Your responsibilities:

In this position you will be responsible for basic food preparation, washing dishes, cash handling and providing superb customer service as well as assisting in general kitchen and cleaning duties.

About you:

If you're our ideal candidate you will be a team player, have good time management and customer care skills, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude. You will adhere to the company's procedures and policies contributing to working in a safe work place. Ideally you will already have some experience in food preparation and kitchen work, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) (or be happy to train for one). You will have superior customer service skills but most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, customer service and quality.

To be considered for this position you will: 

• be a New Zealand citizen or resident or be in position of a valid NZ work visa.
• need to Pass a Pre-employment Background Check.
• need to provide evidence of your Covid-19 vaccination status.
