Medirest is our healthcare brand providing specialist food, hospitality and support services to residents and patients in hospitals, aged care and senior living facilities throughout New Zealand.

So, that's a little bit about what we do, now to 'what will you be doing with us?'

We are looking for an enthusiastic casual Kitchen Assistants to work at DHB Palmerston North. Hours of work are as and when required so if you are studying or looking to get some extra hours of work then this is the perfect role for you!  

The great things you'll do:

In this position, you will be working as part of a team serving food on the trayline, ensuring hygiene and washing dishes. You will be ensuring that all requests are dealt with in a professional and timely manner and assisting with general kitchen and cleaning duties.

What we are looking for:

If you're our perfect candidate you will be a team player and reliable, with a friendly outgoing personality and a 'can do' attitude.

You will adhere to the company's procedures and policies contributing to working in a safe work place. Ideally, you will already have some experience in food preparation and kitchen work, hold a food safety certificate (Unit Standard 167) or be happy to train for one. You will be hard working but, most importantly you will demonstrate a passion for great food, patient service and quality.
