About the role and who we are looking for:

We are looking for a Goods Receiving/Kitchen Assistant to help produce healthy, daily school packed lunches for Year 1 to 8 (primary and intermediate aged) students in local schools.

This is a permanent full-time role with a minimum of 30hrs per week. Hours of work are Sunday to Thursday 10:00 - 18:30 (subject to change slightly with needs of business).

This contract is during education terms only based in Christchurch. Don't worry, you can pick up extra work across our sites in the region.

What will you be doing with us?

In this position you will be responsible for:

• The despatch of lunch poly bins to pallets for delivery.
• Receiving of goods and stock control with relevant standard operating procedures.
• Keeping yard and stores tidy.
• Assisting Kitchen Assistant team with the creation of lunches, including sandwich and salad making, lunch pack assembly and following our Food Control Plan and Allergen Management processes.
• Health and Safety is our number 1 rule, you will be an advocate for safety in the work place.

Ideal skills and experience you will have:

You will be a team player and able to work autonomously, preferably you will have experience in a catering environment. You will be hard working, flexible, have a positive attitude and good communication skills. Experience with working in stores and receiving goods experience would be beneficial.
