Job Description
Overview
The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for sorting, cleaning, researching inventory in the salvage area. Builds, keys, and audits all cycle count spreadsheets and attempts to identify causes of inventory variances and corrective actions required. Able to effectively interact with warehouse counters in order to obtain data needed to investigate areas of concern. Reports the cycle count results; particularly any problem areas to the appropriate personnel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process breakage, spoils, distressed inventory with a high level of accuracy
- Review paperwork for documentation and accurate coding
- Restock customer returned product that is damaged
- Perform Bin to Bin movement physically and in the system using RF
- Create billing documents
- Participate in inventory count, and other warehouse areas as needed
- Attend monthly safety meeting
- Understand the safety rules and requirements in the workplace
- Ensure warehouse equipment service needs, safety needs and other safety issues are reported promptly
- Able to perform tasks with other systems
- Take online safety courses and other classes as needed
- Assist employees with scanner issues/questions
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Additional Primary Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience
- Knowledge with modern warehousing practices and methods
Physical Demands
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time sitting and typing/keyboarding, using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor), or adding machine
- Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
- May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 45lbs
