RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for leading all planning and forecasting requirements for New Look’s supply chain activities;

• Leading a team of Analysts in support of data- and cost-driven activities in the supply chain, delivering continued support to the Head of Supply Chain, BMD Finance, Logistics and core BMD functions.

• Intuitive analysis of upstream volume, timing and cost planning in conjunction with BMD Finance and Logistics Planning, through accurate development of planning metrics in conjunction with the Supply Chain Manager.

• Contributing to the analysis and data-driven strategy for yearly volume planning and 3PLP tender processes.

• Management of downstream intake and receipt planning through a team of Analysts.

• Management of network optimisation and planning of operational activities with the Supply Chain Manager.

Responsible for supporting the Planning & Analytics Manager and Head of Supply Chain using influence to propose recommendations to the business on how to increase speed within the supply chain while minimising cost and reducing errors;

• Contribute to and manage business-facing solutions for upstream supply chain activities and end-to-end planning, leading annual and quarterly reviews with BMD/Logistics and monthly QFR planning.

• Contribute with intuitive and reasoned analytics to RFP and freight tender projects from a data and forecasting perspective. Collaborating with the Central Planning and Logistics management, you will be responsible for ensuring that all decisions made on tactical and strategic approaches are supported with full supply chain analytics.

• Support and influence the QFR ‘Int & Dist’ process with the Logistics Planning Manager, Central Planning Manager and Branch Merchandising Manager, leading the development of internal planning tools to deliver the role alongside the Supply Chain Manager.

• Make decisions based on reporting and detailed analysis to ensure all stakeholders are aware of risks, change and opportunities.

• Design, implement and maintain planning and reporting strategies to aid the development of processes and projects within the department and wider business.

This will include planning for all upstream volumes and costs in the supply chain, reporting against plans and detailed analysis on progress toward KPIs and goals.

• Lead on all technical developments, you will work alongside the Supply Chain Managers through the implementation of new processes and manage the compliance of daily and weekly operational processes.

• Manage the continuous improvement all departmental reporting capabilities in support of departmental change (not limited to; technology roadmaps, ediTRACK development, Intake Database replacement, ATLAS, PLM etc.)

Acts as a Subject-Matter-Expert for senior management, leading support to BMD, Finance and IT as and when required through effective knowledge of RMS, Uplift Calculator, PLM and ediTRACK.

• Responsible for the development and management of end-to-end Landed Cost price analysis, including freight tracking, stock in transit and delivering invoice reconciliation support.

• Accountable for development of improved planning and forecasting on freight costs, suggesting improvements and influencing the necessary areas of the business.

• Accountable for managing the maintenance of the Uplift Calculator and production of exception-based reporting to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Responsible for decision-making and resolution of problems to ensure efficient use of supply chain resources, with all customers in mind.

• Alongside the Junior Supply Chain Manager, act as first-line support for all business departments on supply chain activities, using industry knowledge and analytical techniques to both influence and resolve issues.

• Provide support to BMD teams in purchase order raising and management processes, training and influencing where necessary to ensure minimum level errors.

Responsible for developing a culture of Continuous Improvement to deliver clear and simple supply chain management (SCM) techniques and practices; collaborating with the Supply Chain Managers, Junior Supply Chain Manager and other functions to implement significant change.

• Learn Six Sigma, Kaizen and Continuous Improvement practices and adopt a Continuous Improvement approach to your work, helping to embed a similar culture in the department and across the business.

• Influence development across the supply chain using the CI approach, identifying key inputs and outputs, in order to streamline work activities and identify cost-saving benefits.

Knowledge & Experience

ï‚§ Experienced with analytics in a supply chain environment, preferably from a Supply Chain or Logistics background

ï‚§ Experience of managing costs against budgets

ï‚§ Supply chain, freight and multi-modal transportation knowledge or experience essential

 Detailed understanding of New Look’s business priorities and processes essential

ï‚§ Detailed technical and operational understanding of ediTRACK and other related systems essential

ï‚§ Project management experience desirable

ï‚§ Proven experience managing third-party relationships

ï‚§ Retail merchandising and fashion retail skills desirable

ï‚§ Experience of using analytical tools and MIS/Business Intelligence solutions essential

Technical Skills

ï‚§ Lean principle training desirable (Six Sigma, Lean, CI, Kaizen etc)

ï‚§ Strong analytical skills and excellent strategic thinking.

ï‚§ Working knowledge of trading applications from a functional perspective, together with experience in designing and implementing PLM or SCV tools.

ï‚§ Technical aptitude and willingness to learn new technologies essential

 Technical, ‘under the bonnet’ understanding of track and trace software / ERPs / WMS and business intelligence tools.

ï‚§ Excellent, proven MS Excel skills and experience required.

ï‚§ Supply Chain Analytics or equivalent qualifications desirable but not essential
