Job Description

• Work effectively as a peer within a software development team
• Perform a variety of software development assignments under detailed supervision
• Report to supervisor on task completion and schedule problems
• Develop and maintain an understanding of client user requirements
• Conduct analysis with a view to developing software code that addresses user requirements
• Program Configuration Items (CIs) that address user requirements
• Work with development team lead to ensure accurate/effective testing
• Advise client or development team lead on aspects of programmer analysis issues pertaining to meeting user requirements
• Provide accurate work estimates as required by development team lead
• Any other tasks as directed by assigned DSEF Project Lead/Team Lead

Qualifications

• Must have graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent; or College Advanced Diploma in Computer Engineering Technology or equivalent
• Professional experience with the following activities will be considered a strong asset:

1. 1 or more of the following high-level languages (ADA 95, Java, C++, C#)
2. CASE tools (e.g. Teamwork, Rational Rose)
3. Producing structured documentation
4. Performing object-oriented analysis and design and
5. Conducting development in an AGILE SW development framework

Additional Information

• As part of a larger team there is significant training/mentorship opportunities for this position.
• Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain a Federal Government clearance at the Secret Level (Level II)
