Aviva is currently recruiting for a Junior Accounts Assistant to join the rapidly growing Property Team within their Finance department.
This is a diverse role, offering the candidate the opportunity to develop their skills across many applications. The purpose of this role is to support the Property Team with fund accounting and fund reporting responsibilities. There will be oversight from a Senior Asset Manager on the team and on the job,
learning supported by senior members of the fund accounting team.
Duties & Key Responsibilities:
Assisting the fund accounting team with daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks
Assisting with the rent collection process and analysis of arrears
Assisting with the accounts payable process
Upload supplier payments and provisions on the property accounting system, Yardi (Yardi training will be provided)
Set up new suppliers on Yardi
Take responsibility for the Third-Party Risk Assessment process for onboarding new suppliers
Assist the Property Fund Specialist with reporting and marketing requirements
Collate data and present it in a meaningful way in Excel, Word or PowerPoint for analysis by the Head of Property Fund Management
Carry out research on the property market and share findings with the team
Skills & Experience Required:
A strong solid understanding of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Excellent numeracy skills
Attention to detail
An interest in the commercial property market
Ability to work on your own initiative, within the delegated authorities
