Role: Junior Food Process Coordinator

Location: London HQ - we offer a mix of both office, remote and home working! The role requires you to work one weekend per month , and you can take off the Friday and Monday each side of the weekend cover in return.

Here at Gousto we have an exciting opportunity within Food Proposition for a Junior Food Process Coordinator to join our Food Process team. The Food Process team has grown from 1 to 13 people in a short period of time, taking on new responsibilities. Gousto is making huge investments business-wide and the team will keep on growing whilst continuing to provide opportunities for further career growth and learning.

The role consists of coordinating the weekly recipe card checking process, managing our recipe library and helping to make our kitchens even safer. You will work to drive development of these processes in collaboration with other teams; Recipe Development, Menu Planning, Supply Chain, Planning and Buying.

Core Responsibilities:

Recipe Card Creation and Amends

• Undertake the thorough checking of recipes before they go into production as ‘recipe cards’.
• Serve as a point of contact for all amends to recipe cards
• Support our ingredient substitutions process.
• Support the Recipe Development team with related Food Process recipe success metrics.

Food Safety

• Operate in a safe working manner and support the business on continuous improvement relating to health and safety.
• Coordinate day to day activities to deliver food safety improvements.
• Record routine safety and technical checks in the NPD and EPD process.

• Raise awareness and compliance on food safety, allergens and nutritional information.
• Highlight potential compliance issues promptly through internal auditing and help to implement solutions.
• If required, support the maintenance of the validation and verification schedule for food safety compliance of both specific methods and ingredients.

• Drive your own side workstreams forwards - identifying improvements, developing specialisms

Requirements

• Proven experience in food technology/administration and aspirations to progress this further
• Good organisational skills
• Ability to work to short deadlines and fast turnaround times on a number of projects.
• Excellent attention to detail

• Good time management skills

• High level of written and spoken English
• Clear communicator

• Takes responsibility for managing the standard and quality of own output

Nice to haves:

• Specification checking experience
• Experience of working within an administration role or technical based role
• Educated to at least HND/HNC level in a food related subject
