Junior Commercial Analyst

TalkTalk Wholesale is pivoting to full fibre connectivity and is committed to take its Partners on the journey, unlocking profitable growth, whilst maximising value across the whole portfolio.

As a member of the Commercial Team, you will be at the centre of this transformation. You will work closely with key stakeholders across the Sales, Finance and Product functions to lead on creating new payplans, amending commissions schemes based on business requirements and defining incentive to drive over performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate or a junior analyst to kickstart a career in the telco industry. We will provide all the support and mentorship needed to set you up for success.

The Team

The TTWS Commercial Team is a vibrant and energetic team that plays a major role in the shaping and structuring of sales opportunities, informing product strategy, maintaining the customer base and maximising value by using our market, regulatory, product and customer knowledge.

We work alongside and support our stakeholders which include Sales, Finance, Product and Operations. Our team ranges from Analyst to Commercial Director. We are mainly based out of our state-of-the-art Soapworks building in Salford, however many of our colleagues are based around the UK.

We offer a very flexible working structure between being home based and office based.

Some of the key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Management of the various payplan structures, schemes, metrics and communications.
  • Production of payplan insight / analysis decks for the monthly commission’s boards. OOP payment calculations and sign off.
  • Monthly payment reviews, amendments and query management through to resolution.
  • Production of financial analysis to be provided to Finance on a monthly basis (I.e. accruals and IFRS15).
  • Incentive roadmap and overall recognition ownership.

Authority

  • Management of the commissions budget of ~£1.3M per annum.

To be successful in this role you will need the following in your skill set:

Must have:

  • A degree in one of the following areas: Maths, Finance, Economy, Business Analytics or any related area (Ideally a minimum of a 2:1) or working experience in an analytical role
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills with a keen eye for attention to detail.
  • Excellent planning skills and be experienced in using Microsoft excel.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
  • The ability to prioritise / manage workstack, take ownership and show resilience when needed.

Be great to also:

  • Have experience of payplan / incentives creation and management. 
  • Have a continuous improvement mentality.
  • Be an innovative thinker who can respond quickly in a dynamic environment.
  • Be a proven team player who wins when the team wins.
  • Have telecom’s sector or equivalent industry knowledge and experience.
