Junior engineer based in Glasgow required by our client, who is a ground-works and civil engineering contractor, to join them on a permanent contract. This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates looking to gain experience in residential, commercial or industrial projects. You will play a significant role at the heart of each of the projects you assist on, initially as an office based engineer assisting with data prep for sites, with the view to move out onto site and become a valued member of the engineering team.

As a junior engineer you will initially work from the organisations office, assisting your colleagues with all Auto-CAD and CAD data prep to allow the site engineers to go out onto site fully prepared for the job ahead. The view of the role is to initially learn your trade by observing and assisting the more senior engineers on any given job with which they require your assistance, to then progress onto taking on more responsibility and becoming an independent and reliable member of the team.

You will be required to be flexible in your role as a junior engineer, as it is a time to absorb as much information as possible from any situation you may find yourself in, to further your own development and learn your trade within a practical setting.

The role will be suited to an organised individual with a sound technical background and a desire to learn or a more experienced individual with a desire to gain experience within the UK market. The successful candidate will be able to provide value wherever they are positioned within the organisation and a desire to ultimately get out of the office to work on site.

The role will involve some driving so a valid license is required. The post will be based in and around the greater Glasgow area, with some projects further afield which are based around the central belt.
