Product Delivery

Want to deliver brilliant products and unmissable entertainment that grips millions of households? Our 1000 strong, Product Delivery team does everything from developing innovative AI technology to creating the best HDR viewing experience for TV products. From Sky Go to Sky Q & Sky Glass, we take our products to the next level and make them more agile and reliable with every release.

What you’ll do:

Our applications are written in JavaScript, but they may not be traditional DOM based web applications. This means you’ll need to be highly skilled in writing Vanilla JavaScript and be able to help other team members.

• Developing high quality, testable and performant applications to run on the Sky Q set-top box using our in-house libraries and frameworks.

• Contributing to the technical direction of the team.

• Working closely with design and product teams to create intuitive and innovative user experiences.

• Help the team choose the best solutions and technologies for the task in hand.

• Participating in the full software life-cycle, including support and continuous integration.

• Assisting analysts and business stakeholders in shaping, estimating and planning new requirements.

• Participating in regular showcases of new work to product owners and business stakeholders.

• Striving for continuous improvement within the team.

• Take a pro-active role with production issues and release management.

• Championing best practices in order to develop clean, resilient code.

• Mentor junior members of the team.

What you’ll bring:

• JavaScript (JS core, Vanilla JS, experience of multiple framework)

• Frontend/UI (eye for detail, pixel perfect, high performance, WebGL is a nice to have)

• Testing processes (experience in unit test frameworks, TDD, BDD, e2e testing)

• CI/CD/Bash (experience with CI/CD tools, good grasp of UNIX bash commands)

• Network/web technologies (Familiarity with networking/communication stack, browsers, SPA)

• SCRUM/Agile (Working in an agile environment, working with POs, BAs, UI/UX teams, planning and estimating)
