Cooper Lomaz are seeking a remote based IT Manager with very occasional office visits to some of the groups small offices over the UK where you will be responsible for ensuring that all the business streams are well supported from an IT perspective. The manager will determine the best strategy to achieve this, exploring both in-house and outsourcing options. This employer is fully 100% remote and were before the pandemic so it is essential you are able to work remotely as this role will not suit an "office based" worker.
Working from home you will be the face of the company's internal IT Support and build relationships with employees, understanding their requirements to ensure they have suitable and sufficient IT equipment and software. You will work together with current outsourced IT provider, to support users and ensure the smooth day to day running of all aspects of the IT Infrastructure whilst identifying and insource where possible to provide better value for money and improved support to users. You will be working to ensure IT Security meets (and exceeds where necessary) the IT Security Policy prescribed by the group and directly report to the Software, Risk and Compliance Chief Technology Officer.
Applicants will have experience managing IT Projects from concept to successful delivery and have experience procuring IT Systems, taking the initiative and deliver what is right for the business with limited supervision from the line manager. You will have the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and exceptional attention to detail. It is essential candidates have experience of managing services delivered through Azure and knowledge of Office 365 and ideally knowledge within SharePoint Administration.

Excellent knowledge and experience of managing Office 365; including SharePoint Administration
Experience of managing IT Security & Support
Exposure and understanding of internal IT/AV/Wireless/Office 365 if you are an expert that would be a bonus!
Manage the spend and invoicing of our third-party suppliers
Experience within environments of over 200 users
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of IT Security in general and the ISO27001 framework specifically
Experience in training users on IT Security awareness
Previous management experience of a small team would be advantageous
Coaching or mentoring team members or graduates
Responsibilities
Drive down costs of IT provision (currently 3 separate costs and initial project to consolidate them to one)
Own and manage IT Projects such as consolidating 3 separate AD Subscriptions into a single AD.
Managing relationships with all third-party IT, Software and Security suppliers/providers (including measurement of providers' performance to KPI metrics)
Managing software licensing and approve software use within the business
Managing IT Equipment asset register and decommissioning/disposal of EOL IT equipment
Hardware upgrade/replacement process including planning/approval of upgrades
Approve all IT Invoices, achieve a target of 5% saving per year on IT spend
Lead the implementation of a robust security policy
Ensures you reach or maintain ISO27001 accreditation
Ensure the division complies with its responsibilities under GDPR
