Our client is hiring a Manager of IT Security for their growing technology team. The ideal candidate will be hands-on technical with Information Security management, highly collaborative and motivated to help develop the organization's Information Technology Security team. The Manager of IT Security will have an opportunity to build strong relationships both internally and externally. They will work closely with the Audit and Risk teams as well.
Responsibilities:
Manage the organization's Information Technology Security and Data Governance processes.
Develop security strategies, metrics, reporting mechanisms and program services.
Develop specialized training for roles including privileged users, executive staff and other members who handle confidential information
Develop, implement and administer technical security standards, as well as a suite of security services and tools to address and mitigate security risk.
Build a team of IT Security professionals
Key Requirements:
8+ years experience in Information Security
3+ years of leadership skills
Degree in Computer Science/Engineer/Information Systems
CISSP Designation (CISA is an asset)
Strong working knowledge of policies, regulation, and standards relating to Information Security including PIPEDA, GDPR
An advanced knowledge of Information Security technologies including those required to deter, prevent, respond and remediate Information Technology Security threats.
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience in facilitation of crisis management scenarios.
Proven experience with latest Information Technology Security tools, and ability to stay up to date with security technology trends.
Deep understanding of Information Security trends, controls and proven experience in running enterprise-grade security systems.
Must have experience in providing strategic IT security direction.
