IT DevOps & Test Environments Manager

Location: Newbury   (Full-time remote working during COVID-19)
Salary:  Competitive

This is an excellent opportunity for a DevOps manager to drive innovation, automation and process improvements into various aspects of the IT test environments maintenance, and drive efficiency and excellence with the implementation of DevOps ways of working and tooling.

What will you be doing?

• Ensure environments stability and availability for all testing phases, functional and non-functional. Planned env availability to be above 90% to be reviewed as service progresses.

• Manage the Environment service delivered by our partner and organizations that support our Environment service with focus on being cost effective, and efficient in delivering as per KPIs using the right technical skills and innovation.

• Manage the delivery of the environment’s improvements roadmap, using Automation, implementing efficient processes, adopting new technologies and ways of working focusing on continuous integration and continues deployment DevOps principles.

Who are we looking for? 

• Demonstrated IT Test Environment coordination skills for complex and large programs or an IT Function.
• Experience in leading and managing environments planning, strategy and budget for SIT/UAT/Pre-Prod & performance test environments for every release.
• Experience in working with/managing 3rd Party, vendors both onshore and offshore
• Experience in driving Automation, innovation in cloud and non-cloud (On-Premise) environments and implementation of automation solutions to reduce any manual intervention
• Managing senior stakeholders
• Hands on DevOps tooling such as Jenkins, Chef, Ansible, Nexus, Azure DevOps..
• Focus on improvements, keen in getting into the root cause of environmental defects
• Knowledge of different technologies such as Weblogic, WebMethods, TIBCO and Oracle products will be in advantage
