About Information and Technology 

The Information and Technology Team sits within the Corporate Services Division supporting the whole organisation. IT have a well-defined strategic vision, supported by passionate people. 

The opportunity 

Right now we have a brand new and exciting opportunity for an experienced IT Security Manager to join our team. The role is fixed term permanent for two years, based in the Sydney CBD, with flexible working from home arrangements ongoing. The role reports to the Senior Manager, Security Operation and has one IT Security Analyst reporting to this position.

You will manage security operations, driving compliance of security incident resolutions, contribute and co-ordinate security policies and standards responses from the business, respond to security audits and provide continuous reporting, manage risk and vulnerability assessments for technology products and in the supply chain as well as provide mitigation strategies, and co-ordinate partners to arrange penetration testing and manage outcomes for the business.

The role is fully accountable for the quality, integrity and validity of advice provided. The role defers to the Senior Manager, Security Operations on complex project issues of a technical, legislative or political nature or decisions that will substantially alter the outcome or timeframes, major issues or conflicts arising in the course duties or matters requiring a higher delegated authority including approval for expenditure or sensitive issues

About you 

You are tertiary qualified in Computer Science, Information technology systems security or related industry qualifications such as; ISO/IEC 27001, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Professional (CISP).

Possess substantial professional experience and will possess superior knowledge of effective security operations

Ideally you possess some exposure/working knowledge of NIST or Essential8

You’ll demonstrate the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and partners to deliver consistent security services and collaborate with others and value their contribution

You’ll also be results driven and achieve results through the efficient use of resources and a commitment to quality outcomes.

Salary and Benefits 

The salary for this position is Grade 9A, $138,670 – 9E $155,309 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
