There is an excellent new opportunity in Aviva UK’s Investment Strategy and Propositions team for someone to join us as an Investment Proposition Manager.
This position will work across UK Savings & Retirement (S&R) with the core purpose of developing the S&R investment proposition (focusing on Workplace (Institutional) but also pivoting as required to Retail proposition development), including leading a team of cross-channel investment proposition analysts.
The Investment Proposition Manager will be tasked with bringing together customer and market insights, along with an understanding of S&R strategy and investment propositions. This is to both enhance existing propositions and drive new proposition development to improve customer outcomes and deliver commercial value.
We see this as a great opportunity for someone new to Aviva to help us realise our key strategic targets around providing market leading propositions to our clients. The newly created team will focus on constructing innovative investment portfolios, ESG, illiquids, retirement projects and more – with the full reputation and resources of Aviva UK and Aviva Investors to make us exceptionally competitive and effective in the market.
The role’s duties & responsibilities:
Strategic delivery of investment propositions - facilitating the team’s focus on innovation, and designing, delivering and developing market leading propositions
Presenting and externally facing into clients with investment distribution consultation
Management of an investment proposition team, ensuring efficiency and directing a team of 4 investment proposition analysts
Identifying emerging market opportunities and trends to drive future proposition development
Developing market and competitor insights to advise proposition development, using research and industry networks, building a deep understanding of Aviva’s competitors and their propositions
Optimising existing investment solutions to ensure that they align with the strategic aims of the business; meeting customer needs and adhering to FCA principles
Serving as investment Subject Matter Expert during meetings with current and prospective clients
Partnering with Aviva Investors and other third parties on solution design
Skills & experiences required:
Evidence of delivering innovative investment propositions, with track record of implementing those changes
Background of understanding the UK pensions and savings market landscape with significant knowledge of workplace (institutional) investment propositions
Knowledge of investment markets, asset classes, fund types, asset management techniques and styles, with a strong understanding of ESG
Solid understanding of current and emerging regulatory items that impact investments
Leadership skills - setting clear expectations and accountabilities, taking informed and timely decisions and crafting an open and honest feedback culture within the team
Background of using gravitas, credibility and confidence with influencing internal and external business partners at all levels
Investment qualification (IMC, CFA, etc) would be advantageous

A salary of £70,000 to £100,000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications
