There is an excellent new opportunity in Aviva UK’s Investment Strategy and Propositions team for someone to join us as an Investment Distribution Lead.

This position will work across UK Savings & Retirement (S&R) and will be responsible for the promotion of the workplace (institutional) investment proposition both internally and externally. Supported by the wider Investment Strategy and Propositions team and working with Distribution teams, the role will involve leading on all investment aspects in the acquisition of new clients and retention of existing clients.

We see this as a great opportunity for someone new to Aviva to help us realise our key strategic targets around providing market leading propositions to our clients.  This role will be part of a newly created team focused on constructing innovative investment portfolios, ESG, illiquids, retirement projects and more – with the full reputation and resources of Aviva UK and Aviva Investors to make us exceptionally competitive and effective in the market.

The role’s duties & responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver plan to promote the workplace (institutional) investment proposition to external audiences (clients, prospective clients and advisers)

• Identify and articulate key features/messages of the workplace investment proposition to external audiences, in particular the design and management of the default investment solutions

• Provide dedicated investment proposition support to workplace’s distribution teams, including at new business pitches, governance meetings etc

• Support response to new business tenders and site visits

• Serve as investment subject matter expert during meetings with clients, prospective clients and advisers

• Work with the Head of Investment Strategy & Propositions to help build market profile and promote Aviva’s workplace solutions to pension scheme trustees, Master Trusts, plan sponsors, employers and advisers

• Help ensure Aviva has market-leading workplace investment propositions by understanding adviser, client and member needs, and feeding back key requirements/themes to investment proposition development team

• Provide strategic input to business development through identification of key issues and trends

Skills & experiences required:

• A strong understanding of the UK  pensions and savings market landscape, including the Master Trust market

• Significant knowledge of Workplace (institutional) investment propositions, including default solutions

• Skilled internal and external communicator

• Gravitas and credibility, dealing with and influencing internal and external stakeholders at all levels with confidence

• Strong external presentation and speaking abilities

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Customer focused, driven and passionate

• Strong influencing, negotiation and relationship management skills

• Ability to work independently and to be dedicated / demonstrate initiative

• Strong collaboration skills

• A good understanding of investment markets, asset classes, fund types, asset management techniques and styles, including a strong understanding of ESG

• Strong knowledge of current and emerging regulatory items that impact investments

• A salary of £70,000 to £100,000 depending on skills, experience and qualifications
