Our Internal Communications team helps to build trust and advocacy among our colleagues by designing and implementing brilliant campaigns that inform, involve and inspire. We help our leaders to unite their teams behind our strategy and celebrate our colleagues doing the right thing for our customers.
As the Internal Communications Manager (Strategy and Leadership) you will plan and deliver campaigns that connect our colleagues to our strategic priorities and enable engaging two-way conversations with our leaders. This includes coming up with creative ways to engage with colleagues across our channels, writing copy for these along with leadership messages for the CEO, members of the operating board and broader leaders. You will also support the communication of other key strategic updates and leader messages to our colleagues, such as our financial results, and other activity that ladders up to our purpose – Driven by our passion for food we serve and help every customer – and commitment to Help everyone eat better and the five strategic pillars.
Using excellent written communication skills, you will help ensure the tone of all our leadership communications is open and honest and colleagues always hear news ahead of it being shared externally (except where the news is market sensitive).
You will work within a team of four as well as the wider Internal Comms Campaigns team to develop a programme of campaign and leadership communications activity that ensures colleagues hear regularly from a broad pool of leaders. This includes working closely with the Channels team to ensure our communications get maximum cut-through.
