Be part of exciting growth within Consentium, the Kāinga Ora Building Consent Authority (BCA) which provides consenting services exclusively to Kāinga Ora. The team takes great pride in receiving the Innovator of the Year Award at the Building Officials Institute of NZ [link removed]Excellence Awards.

We have ambitious goals and with our own accredited BCA we can focus on providing homes at pace, leveraging scale and quality. We target residential and commercial state house builds as well as a comprehensive nationwide retrofit programme with an efficient, paperless, and compliant process.

You'll be working with a group of talented new and experienced building control officers with a dynamic and fresh culture. There's opportunities at all levels of building regulatory control including quality assurance, administration, consent processing and inspection domains.

  • Previous experience working in a regulatory, social housing environment or customer-focused role, working with a diverse stakeholder group
  • Ability to adjust your communication style to suit your audience
  • Ability to comprehend information quickly to determine circumstances and choose an appropriate course of action while following best practice and process
  • Technically competent to navigate Regulatory compliance.
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm to provide exceptional customer service
