Ä€u Mahi | What You Will Do

We have an opportunity for an Instructional Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will develop and deliver engaging and innovative learning design solutions and make a real difference for staff in their online and blended learning experiences. Reporting to the Team Leader, Instructional Design Team, the role will support People and Culture to use evidence-based best practice to design, develop and deliver transformative learning for staff at UC.

Mōu | Who You Are

You will have a tertiary qualification in education, teaching or education technologies (preferably at the Post Graduate level) and at least 3yrs experience in a Learning Design-related role involving hybrid/blended and online delivery. This includes:

  • expertise in learning theories and instructional design models
  • experience using eLearning development software and authoring tools (i.e. Storyline)
  • highly developed digital skills suitable for working with Learning Management Systems (preferably Moodle)
  • the ability to work under pressure and be adaptable in highly dynamic project and product environments
  • strong networking and partnership skills in understanding complex, cross-department activities in a large, diverse organisation
  • proven experience in identifying issues and proposing solutions in a dynamic environment
  • experience in supporting teaching and learning, at the tertiary level or in a medium to large organisation.
