About the Role

Healthcare Australia have partnered with a leading Healthcare Provider who are seeking to employ an Infection Prevention and Control Manager in Tasmania. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and management of infection prevention and control practices and will be employed on a permanent full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure services provided meet best practice standards to prevent the spread of infection

Audit and monitor infection control and hand hygiene data

Provide expert knowledge and advice regarding the prevention and management of diseases caused by microorganisms

Provide education, information and orientation regarding infection control to clinical staff and patients as required 

Provide leadership to promote clinical and operational strategies in line with the local services plan and the Infection Prevention and Control Management plan

Facilitating the accreditation and supporting the clinical and non-clinical staff in the process.

As the successful IPC Manager you will have:

Must have AHPRA registration

Post-graduate qualification relevant to Infection Prevention & Control 

Current Immunization/Vaccination Certificate or working towards

Working With Vulnerable People Check 

Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
