About our group and team

While reporting to the Business Support Manager, you will be required to also work across the Learning Support and Education Teams of Te Mahau in Tāmaki Makaurau area. The teams provide support to the education sector.

Mō tēnei tūranga - About this role

The primary purpose of the role is to work with the Business Support Manager to assist with the co-ordination, development, implementation and review of the Regional Induction Programme.

The role is diverse, requiring the ability to lead, problem solve, train team members and analyse processes and systems.

Mōhou ake - About you

The successful applicant will have the following:

  • Experience as an induction co-ordinator role or similar
  • Advanced operational skills in the areas of Employment Relations, State Sector Act 1988, Health and Safety at Work Act 2015
  • Good interpersonal skills, exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to develop a knowledge of the various work streams within the Ministry of Education
  • A strong ability to work well with others across all levels of the organisation
  • A commitment to continue improvement and having a strong customer service approach to everything you do
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with a particular emphasis on Excel and Word
  • The ability to work unsupervised while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Experience in human resources or recruitment administration
  • Project management experience
  • Experience in providing executive assistant support
  • Strong time management skills
  • A current driver's licence
  • A positive attitude
