What you'll do

As a Production Management Manager, you’ll be responsible for the team’s activities to make sure that platform integrity is maintained in line with the platform and technical roadmap releases, while managing demand from discretionary and mandatory change requests. You’ll also own initiatives in one or more area of specialist knowledge, across technology.

In addition, you’ll be collaborating with and influencing colleagues and stakeholders across the bank and third-party suppliers on the applications under management, making sure there is timely delivery of solutions which support the business and are in line with the overall policies.

You’ll also be:

• Managing in-bound work requests, making sure there is efficient and effective prioritisation and scheduling of work against agreed business schedules
• Building a satisfied customer base by managing relationships with all business and technology stakeholders through prompt and effective communication and reporting
• Making sure applications and infrastructure are fully compliant to mandated standards by adhering to processes and security compliance
• Establishing an environment of continual learning and feedback by driving continuous improvements of existing processes and procedures across production management disciplines
• Contributing to our production management strategies and reviewing our SOX controls

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone with a technical understanding, including platform, technology, products and domains. You’ll additionally need knowledge of relevant industry standard toolsets and processes to drive up customer service within an IT environment.

You’ll also demonstrate:

• * Embed DevOps practices and processes across teams to ensure the platform is safe,  simple to manage and cost effective to run

  * The individual should be able to demonstrate a good track record of risk management for a business critical system

  * Ability to inspire trust, manage expectations and get senior sponsorship across multiple domains (including in a production crisis Managment context)  

  * Able to demonstrate leadership (both through direct line management & influencing) and is effective at managing teams in multiple locations
