Robert Half  is working closely with one of our area's well respected manufacturers in the search for a new HR Leader to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. As the HR leader, you will be the go-to person for all employee-related issues, as well as manage activities such as a job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development and talent management. This role is an in office position where you can connect with the people daily. This great opportunity is a full-time position and is in Guelph, Ontario. The responsibilities for the HR Leader may include:

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
• Manage the recruitment and selection process
• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
• Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management

Requirements

• 9+ years in Human Resources
• 2+ years of supervisor experience
• experience in a manufacturing environment is a must
• experience liaising with Union representatives is an asset
