A hybrid HR Manager opportunity with a well-established and growing non-profit organization in Vancouver is available. Reporting to the COO, the HR Manager will work with the senior management team to provide input in the development of a human resources strategy that supports the business of the organization and the group’s long-term planning. This will consist of an integrated approach for talent acquisition (including recruitment, onboarding, and performance management), health and safety (including benefits and wellness programs), labor and employee relations, learning and development, and organizational culture.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a non-profit and unionized environment. You are a self-starter who takes initiative and you have a comprehensive working knowledge of HR functions, practices, and principles pertaining to full-cycle recruitment, workforce planning, compensation, benefits, health and safety laws and regulations, training, and development. This role requires someone who has excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with employees and staff at all levels, extreme attention to detail and process, someone who thinks outside of the box and who is solutions-oriented, and someone who is analytical, positive, and proactive. An HR degree is required and a CHRP is an asset. This organization does support career development. Experience with an ATS and HRIS system is required and experience with Payworks is an asset.

This role works 35 hours per week with two of those days in the office and 3 days remote. This role has excellent benefits including a very attractive RRSP program and in addition to vacation offers a substantial number of PTO days.
