Your challenge:

Reporting to the Vice President Organizational Development, the Human Resource Consultant will provide guidance, direction, coaching and support to assigned business partners within North America, primarily located within our Halifax locations.

  • Act as a leader in recruitment and come up with proactive and innovative strategies to attract talented candidates
  • Participate in the continuous optimization of an effective recruitment strategy to access top-level talent, while delivering timely and effective customer service and support to internal hiring managers.
  • Coach, advise and mentor leaders on HR matters
  • Provides timely and accurate HR processing for assigned partners including, but not limited to, employee engagement, performance management, benefits management, merit increases and incentives.
  • Participate in global HR projects and execute and support HR initiatives at sites level.
  • In collaboration the local Health & Safety Team, manage the work accident claims process and ensure appropriate follow up.
  • Act as a backup on payroll activities during the Payroll Administrator annual leaves.

  • Post-secondary education with an emphasis on Human Resource Management
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience
  • Experience through the full recruitment process.
  • You are a brand ambassador promoting the employment brand and enjoy using technology to help drive efficiencies and measure success.
  • Driven to exceed client expectations, you are capable of developing positive and professional working relationships and take pride in your work.
  • You  have the skill set to manage multiple priorities.
