Are you looking to step into a role that can provide mentoring and guidance and give you the opportunity to increase your HSE knowledge and experience? Have you gained your Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety, possess 2 years practical experience but are looking for a more in depth role, in a fast pace warehouse and transport environment?

We are seeking an HSE Advisor on an initial 12-month fixed term contract to  support the HSE Manager through a site transformation at the KMART distribution Centre in Truganina. This role will work alongside frontline managers and operators, monitoring, coaching and guiding on all aspects of safety, providing practical HSE advice and support that continually improves our HSE culture and performance.

The HSE Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Updating the Training Matrix and posters and coordinating and delivering HSE training programs.
  • Managing risk assessment reviews and reviewing site HSE plans.
  • Assisting in all incident investigations.
  • Management off our incident database TRAC ensuring personnel use and providing training as required.
  • Updating and administering site HSE documentation utilising SharePoint.

Qualifications

 To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 1-2 years practical experience in an HSE role with a focus on warehousing and logistics.
  • Knowledge of HSE legislation, industry standards and management system standards (AS4801, OHSAS18001 & ISO14001).
  • Excellent written and communication skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with fellow team members, management, stakeholders and industry experts.
  • Experience WITH incident investigations.
  • Competent computing skills, advanced Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Cert IV in Occupational Health and Safety.
