Role purpose

Ensure the delivery of sustainable people requirements aligned to Castle Donington business plans aimed at delivering improved commercial performance.

Key accountabilities and measures

  • Take accountability for operational area of the site
  • Provide leadership to the business area and partner on all people matters helping to define and shape the people srategy
  • Delivery of HR Services – Deliver and implement HR policies and services consistently ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Capability Development – Support Management to identify and manage high performance and ensure succession planning is in place. Ensure a leadership and coaching culture is cascaded.
  • Employee Engagement – Develop a clear understanding of the levers that drive Employee Engagement and develops a strategy. Working in partnership with business owners and BIG group
  • Work with Recruitment and L&D to ensure the right resource and capability is in place
  • Support key projects (as required and appropriate)

Key skills

  • Previous HR experience is essential with focus on driving engagement, performance management and leadership development
  • Able to work in a fast paced, transformational environment and able to manage ambiguity
  • Experience of working within a warehouse environment is preferred
  • Experience of working within an operational environment is preferred
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to build strong, lasting relationships and stakeholder management
  • Strong organisational and delivery skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong coaching ability
