About this role
Colleagues are the heart of BT and we wouldn't be the same without them. This role is vital in providing a key support function to complete HR processes, transactions and generally support our colleagues through the whole colleague lifecycle.
This is a multi-skilled role in which you will complete a variety of activities depending on the demand at the time, allowing you to have a great breadth of knowledge across HR policies and processes. You will have the opportunity to support all areas of BT but will become a specialist in one of the below:

Consumer
Technology
Enterprise
This means you will create great working relationships with colleagues for the area you support & build specialist knowledge of how they function, allowing us to deliver an even better colleague experience.
You'll have the following responsibilities
Hold responsibility for activities associated with the onboarding of new hires and the offboarding of all colleagues excluding bespoke routes
Act as a point of contact for new joiners to answer any questions and provide any HR support they need
Administrative activities aligned to a colleagues pay, sick pay and contracts ensuring they are processed efficiently
Complete transactions in salary changes, role code changes, one-off payments and internal company move contracts
Develop knowledge to respond to Reward queries and cases
Liaise with the wider HR community to respond to queries and raise to HR SME for complex cases
Provide a consistent and high-quality service while being flexible to work across boundaries
Contribute to the wider HR Transformation agenda by always applying a continuous improvement lens on the work completed
You'll have the following skills & experience
Confidentiality: Understand the need for confidentiality in regard to documents processed, systems maintained
Collaboration: Work effectively and efficiently with colleagues to deliver a first class service
Continuous Improvement: Continually look at ways of improving process and procedures within the HR function
IT Competency: Able to learn how to use internal systems quickly and efficiently
