Job Introduction

This HR Specialist role sits within contract management and procurement for HR services.

Working to the Senior HR Business Partner in the People Services Team you will provide support to source and manage contractual relationships for our outsourced HR services. 

Working with internal stakeholders and our 3rd party supply partners to ensure resilience of services and effective use of contracted services.

Role Responsibility

• Initiating and leading Procurement projects which support and contribute to the HR agenda, working with internal stakeholders including the Procurement team to define procurement approach and manage the bidder interaction up to the conclusion of the competition
• Manage overall contractual performance, seeking continuous improvement and value for money
• Ensure that outsourced providers meet the BBC HR operational requirements
• Provide assurance to HR stakeholders on the resilience of the supplier network, protecting the integrity of the processes and associated controls
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the HR business area and requirements, to optimise the value of outsourced services
• Providing senior stakeholders and wider HR department with intelligent management information – including supply market knowledge enabling informed decisions with regards to external supply requirements and effective use of the contracted services
• Measure supplier performance, service delivery and compliance through reporting of operational activity, identifying opportunities to deliver continuous improvement
• Supporting the HR department’s objectives to deliver financial savings
• Drive contract compliance and process automation, working closely with other areas of HR
• Support the implementation of effective and relevant HR policies into operational services
• Leading on escalations and any subsequent supplier improvement plans, ensuring root causes of any issues are investigated

The Ideal Candidate

• Proven track record in providing highly pro-active specialist support on key commercial activities e.g.  negotiation, purchasing and contract management
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to critically and objectively analyse business performance data and to swiftly initiate corrective action if required
• Drafting business documentation including business case proposals, briefing documentation and evaluation model
• Proven analytical and data skills, with experience maintaining and managing financial records including accurate and confidential recording of data

           Desirable

• Working knowledge of SAP HR, SAP Finance and associated systems and processes would be advantageous
• Working knowledge of HR related services
