Sydney Metro is Australia's biggest public transport project and first fully-automated metro rail network, connecting customers and transforming the way Sydney travels. About the team

The People and Culture team, within Corporate Services partners with the business and leads the design, development and implementation of strategies, reforms and plans that will attract, engage, and develop the workforce and build upon a high-performing culture.

The team manages workforce solutions including workforce planning and mobility, organisational design, talent management, people engagement (induction, learning and development, inclusion and diversity and culture), employee and industrial relations, industry participation and workplaces (accommodation and business services).

 

Further the management of these services are effectively linked to overarching Sydney Metro strategic objectives, as well as broader Transport for NSW’s people strategies and guidelines.

 

Together, with the business, we continue to build on Sydney Metro’s culture which places the customer at the centre, people at the heart, and works together for the greater good.

 

 

The opportunity

Right now, we have an opportunity for multiple HR Officers to join our team!

In this role you will undertake a range of business research, analysis, reporting, implementation, and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of business, in line with established operational plans and objectives

 

 

 Key Accountabilities for this role include:

Provide business and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on business plans, milestones, and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved Business plans.

Update and collate documentation and records regarding relevant issues, policies, and practices to ensure the delivery of business complies with relevant legislation and frameworks.

Undertake basic research and analysis in assigned Business areas and contribute to the preparation of briefs to support informed decision making and planning.

Assist the team to complete tasks and implement business plans to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved.

Communicate with relevant stakeholders to provide updates regarding status and implementation issues.

About you

You are passionate about customer service and knowledgeable in the development and improvement of workforce behaviour & management standards. You are able to operate at a high level of autonomy and hold yourself accountable for the quality, integrity and value of expert advice provided. You will have experience delivering projects on time and within budget expectations and continuous maintain up to date with HR policies, practices and systems.

 

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Grade 5 ($85,103 - $93,616) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
