Exciting HR opportunity with a cutting edge Tech company!Agilus is recruiting for an HR Manager in the city of in Calgary, Alberta. Agilus has partnered with their client, a world leader in software for navigation and positioning systems is seeking an energetic, talented and experienced HR Manager. You will be supporting a small global team, overseeing the design, analysis, development and writing of HR policies, procedures, and best practices as well as assisting with training and career development opportunities. The HR Manager will liaise with management to evolve strategies for employee retention and recruitment and is the point person for all employees. Responsibilities:
- Champion recruiting and onboarding programs. Manage job postings, build strong applicant pool, assist hiring teams with screening & selection, facilitate orientations.
- Work with the Office Manager to ensure new hire & termination paperwork is complete for employee records and payroll.
- Compensation review, architecture and guidance for worldwide employees (Canada, US, Japan, China, India…).
- HR online tool requirements & optimization for employees (Sharepoint & WeConnect).Create and maintain new hire portal and presentations for onboarding. Benefits management (Empire Life, NHC, IA). Employee support, recognition & mental/physical health check-ins.
- Corporate competence employee training, QMS awareness & ensuring proper knowledge management. Management and leadership training.
- Ensuring Occupational Health & Safety guidelines are understood and followed by employees. Management of WCB claims.
- Maintenance of employee manual including creation/addition/deletion of policies.
- Onboarding and offboarding employees, Recruitment of new employees and maintaining a candidate pool. Team Building, event planning when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of recent and related experience.
- Strong English skills with ability to write and speak clearly and confidently
- Superior communication, emotional intelligence and calmness under pressure.
- Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel, Word, PPT, Sharepoint.
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work cooperatively with a variety of team members and professionals in a dynamic & growing global environment.
- Strong understanding of ISO standards to assist in the company following requirements.
- Travel as required to remote sites for HR matters.
- Must have a legal working status in Canada (such as Citizenship, Permanent residence or work permit).
