Newly created HR role building the HR functions for this world class destination North of Auckland

Your new company

Due to the success of their sister company, our client has developed a brand new destination providing world class golf and accommodation based North of Auckland.

Your new role

This is a newly created role reporting to the General Manager responsible for leading all aspects of HR including:

  • Development of HR strategy, policies and procedures
  • Recruitment and retention
  • Driving culture
  • Employee engagement
  • Performance management
  • Training and development

Due to the phased opening of the resort, recruitment will feature heavily at the start of this role working closely with Managers to build teams and driving a high performing, customer focused culture.

What you'll need to succeed

This role is an excellent opportunity for an HR Manager looking for a new start up challenge or an experienced Generalist looking to take your first step into a Manager role. Ideally you'll be tertiary qualified (preferably in HR or similar) with a minimum of 4 years experience in generalist HR and a thorough working knowledge of NZ HR employment law.

You'll have experience in a start up environment or the implementation of new HR processes and proven experience of driving culture and a focus on engagement and wellbeing. Exceptional stakeholder management skills will be a given along with well developed coaching and influencing skills and the ability to work with all levels across the business.

Experience working in hospitality would be advantageous.
