Job Description

Microsoft is on a mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset, a theme of inspiring excellence, and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. In doing so, we create life-changing innovations that impact billions of lives around the world. You can help us achieve our mission.

We are looking for an experienced HR manager who is energised and dedicated to supporting the business in all aspects of employee experience activities. This highly visible role will be engaged in a broad variety of leader and employee coaching, with a strong focus on empowering our managers to resolve employee experience matters in their organisations.

Our team provides consultation to cases and programs across the employment life-cycle including performance and development, hybrid workplace, psychological safety and wellbeing and retention – and so much more! Culture is at the heart of what we do every day, so our employees can thrive in an environment that is genuinely learning and growing from a strong foundation of care and flexibility alongside innovation and empowerment. Our HR service model is well established and enjoys the close credible partnership we have with the business.

But enough about us! What about you? Are you looking for a fun team that embraces your professional and personal goals?  Are you hoping that this is the team where you can work in an established HR environment that truly has a seat at the table with the business on culture and strategy?  Are you seeking out a place where your experience and ideas have a voice from Day 1, rather than just come in and ‘start over’ again? If yes to the above, then this would be a great opportunity for you.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert coaching and consultation across a population of 2300 managers and employees, predominantly in the focus areas of Performance and Development, Manager Capability and Employee Experiences (for example Hybrid considerations, Retention strategies, and Career Development).
  • Play a lead role in Manager Capability in the delivery of global education and policy content, and the development and delivery of local education /culture initiatives.
  • Program Management of New Employee Experiences and Early In Career Experiences.
  • Partner with all colleagues in a highly engaged and passionate HR team to advance culture and employee experience, especially through the creative and scalable development/adoption of processes that bring efficiencies and empower the employee community.
  • Represent Microsoft with our business at external speaking events for customers.
  • Liaise with other organisations across Microsoft globally and in the Asia region who work in related areas of Employee Experiences, ensuring good collaboration and communication between the teams.
  • Uphold the highest quality employee relations process and practices, while demonstrating empathy, employee advocacy and fairness to all.
  • Leverage your insights to influence all levels of the organization and effectively handling complex employee situations that could have high organizational impact.
  • Analyze trends and identify issues in and across teams, and use proactive measures to prevent future ones from occurring.
  • Partner with all colleagues in a highly engaged and passionate HR team to further advance the maturity of our HR service model, especially through the creative and scalable development/adoption of processes that bring efficiencies and empower the employee community.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 9+ years experience in Human Resources.
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 7+ years experience in Human Resources.
  • Strong HR knowledge and exposure to ANZ region.
