About this role

This person will be responsible for leading the communications workstream for a significant transformation programme. They will need to be an expert communicator capable of distilling complex ideas into meaningful messages for diverse audiences. As is the case with any change, the approach and delivery of the programme communications will have a significant impact on the colleague experience. This person will also need to be prepared to work with colleagues from across the business to manage any reputational risk.

 

You'll have the following responsibilities

Partners with the programme team to provide communications consultancy and support, managing stakeholder expectations along the way

Develop a sustainable communications approach that can be deployed post-implementation to support BAU teams

Responsible for raising appropriate risks, issues and dependencies against plan related to communications, with identification of mitigations and resolution paths to the Transformation Management Office

Play a leading role driving and supporting the change management agenda 

Support programme implementation through use of innovative communications approaches and techniques to identify, inform, involve, consult and engage multiple stakeholder groups 

Responsible for the development, review and cascade of communications in a controlled manner to manage the change implications of the programme

Develop strong working relationship with corporate internal communications teams/networks to cascade communications

Support the programme team in delivery of key messages relating to the programme to senior stakeholders and broader audiences

Track and measure responsiveness and effectiveness of communications and engagement activities

 

You'll have the following skills & experience

You help define the purpose of content, and support others to design and implement innovative ideas for content across multiple platforms 

Responsive to change; embracing change at pace and pro-active in anticipation of change related hurdles and challenges

Strong time management skills: Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload in a high pressured environment

Strong business acumen and awareness to impacts of change to stakeholders

Ability to build and influence relationships effectively including senior stakeholders

Understand the perspectives and agenda of stakeholders and take this into account when communicating
