Description

You could work with this company in the Whitby, Ontario area on a long-term contract / temporary basis as their HR Coordinator within their Human Resources team! This position will be best filled by a talented individual with experience in compensation policies and a growth mindset who is ready to learn and take on new responsibilities.

 The incumbent will:

- Provide administrative and operational support in the areas of customer service, coordination of the job evaluation process, and maintenance of records and databases

- Administer the monthly and ad hoc job evaluation process for multiple employee groups including coordinating schedules, acting as recording secretary during meetings, and ensuring that jobs move through the evaluation phases in a timely manner

- Draft, prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and documentation

- Respond to inquiries regarding compensation administration policies and procedures, and provide guidance on required actions and document completion

- Complete and conduct single salary surveys and assist in completing complex salary surveys

- Assist in reviewing job documentation and providing feedback on drafts

- Provide administrative and clerical support, including document production, data analysis and maintenance of confidential records and databases

- Organize and maintain confidential records and files in accordance with the Region's policies for filing, retrieval, and disposal

Requirements

What would you bring:

·      Post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business Administration

·      CHRP would be an asset

·      A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a HR environment, specifically in a unionized environment, working with Compensation plans and Performance Management

·      Demonstrated Human Resources experience in a high-volume, multi-deadline, unionized environment

·      Ability to multi-task with a high degree of accuracy while meeting tight deadlines

·      Experience with a HRIS; PeopleSoft would be an asset

·      Excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and time management skills
