People matter at Counties Manukau Health and we need someone who believes that HR can help drive better patient outcomes through an engaged workforce.

There are two opportunities available (a 12 months maternity leave cover and a permanent position) working Monday to Friday. Both roles have the same responsibilities; however, the permanent position has no direct report and will be working on projects in addition to Business Partner duties.

About us

Counties Manukau Health serves a unique and diverse community and we are committed to recruiting an inclusive workforce. Our shared vision is to work in partnership with our communities to improve the health status of all, with particular emphasis on Maaori and Pacific peoples and other communities with health disparities.

We are the largest employer in South Auckland employing over 8500, amazing staff spread across 23 different sites, working within a complex environment providing the best care for the community we serve.

About you

This HRBP role presents an opportunity to partner with Clinical Leaders and Management as a trusted advisor and change agent, to influence decision making and implement initiatives to improve service delivery. As an HRBP you will bring expertise in HR disciplines, including ER, and you'll have the experience and remit to co-design and deliver people and culture initiatives to build organisational capability.

We are looking for a resilient HR BP to manage multiple types of work and thrive doing so. You'll be able to prioritise your workload in a fast paced environment and can execute HR delivery end to end. You are a confident communicator who can engage effectively with senior leaders, staff, unions, and colleagues. You will have the confidence to have bold conversations and build strong relationships with the services and senior leaders you work with. You will thrive on making things better, understanding the root cause of an issue and solving immediate challenges. It's also key for us that you are passionate about the organisation's values, and live these values every day.

What we can offer you

  • A great learning environment where you will continue to grow and be challenged
  • Fantastic culture and team environment both within the HR department and across CMH
  • An exciting role where no two days will be the same
  • 5 weeks annual leave

This role is based at Middlemore Hospital and the train stops outside our front door!
