The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for someone to join us in the position of HR Assistant based partly in our modern offices in Camden, a vibrant, lively part of central London, and partly working from home remotely on a hybrid working basis . Working alongside other HR Assistants, Officers and Advisers to provide HR services in a specific business area, your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Welcoming new starters by supporting them through their digital onboarding process and helping with aspects of the recruitment process
  • Ensuring that our colleagues are paid correctly each month, in line with our HR Team procedures and digital systems, in close liaison with our third party payroll provider.
  • Ensuring that any changes to employee contractual terms are communicated, processed and recorded in an accurate and timely way, giving staff clarity about their employment situation at all times
  • Once trained, uploading employee data and produce reports from our HRIS and ensure other employment records are kept up-to-date, for everyone’s reference
  • Acting as the first point of contact for colleague queries on all HR issues – responding and resolving issues directly where possible and escalating to other HR colleagues as needed

What you will need to succeed

We are looking for someone who believes in working together as part of a team, who shares our values and who is friendly, resilient and engaging. The successful candidate will:

  • We are specifically looking for someone with at least six months’ experience of working in a busy HR environment
  • Previous payroll & HR administration experience would be highly desirable
  • You could be from a customer care or hospitality background dealing with people every day in a HR capacity
  • You must be able to collaborate and keen to assist others
  • Be confident is dealing with people and using your initiative to resolve their issues, in line with our HR policies and procedures
