Job Description

Join our HR Operations team in Victoria and be a part of a group that work together to promote a positive, safe, and inclusive work culture. Reporting into the HR Business Partner, the HR Advisor will be supporting our leaders in the Retail, Consumer and Automotive operations in Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia, and Western Australia.

This role will be based in Laverton or Truganina and your stakeholder group is a blend of blue and white collar personnel across multiple sites.  To be successful in this role, you will possess a confident influencing ability, working experience in HR operations and the desire to further grow and challenge yourself in an HR generalist role. We also promote and encourage the use of our online Learning and Development Platform to enhance and develop your professional and personal skillset.

As the HR Advisor, you will:

  • Support the business group with transactional HR activities.
  • Provide support / advice / guidance to employees when required and escalate as appropriate.
  • Assist with managing grievances and investigations.
  • Advise on workforce management matters including performance, employment conditions and terminations.
  • Support change management activities when rolling out new HR processes or initiatives.
  • Administer high volumes of documentation.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HR generalist experience within a fast-paced operational environments
  • Proven capability in managing grievances and investigations end to end with strong verbal and writing skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills capable of engaging and building trusted relationships.
  • Ability to work with HR systems and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferably a tertiary qualification in HR or a business-related discipline.  
  • More than 3 years’ experience in a similar HR role.
