Are you passionate about providing quality nursing care and support to patients and their whaanau/family in the community?

We currently have a part-time (32 hours per week) vacancy for a Registered Nurse to join our community palliative nursing team based in Hamilton. We are interested to hear from registered nurses who have at least three years’ post qualification experience in palliative care and/or community nursing.

You will work alongside a dedicated interdisciplinary team of service providers, in and around Hamilton city. Our team is focused on leading the way in the specialist field of community palliative care and are totally committed to providing patient focused, highly professional care, for Waikato people living with life limiting or life-threatening illnesses and for those who support them.

The successful applicant will have the maturity and resilience to be able to work autonomously. You will also need to have the flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as well as on-call overnight.

To be considered for this role and our organisation we are looking for someone who has:

• Registered Nurse with current APC

• A commitment to te Tiriti o Waitangi and providing equitable health care

• Experience in palliative care, end-of-life needs, life limiting conditions and/or community nursing

• Exceptional communication skills, and proficiency in the use of computers and digital technology

• Evidence of providing excellent holistic and empathetic care

• A desire to learn and grow, and be part of a cohesive and supportive team

• A current full New Zealand driver’s license
