We are seeking an exceptional assessor to project manage their Homestar Accreditation program.

This role will include managing each build's accreditation from start to finish, and there is significant training required to complete the Homestar qualification.

If you have already trained as a Homestar Assessor or Practitioner or have experience on Homestar projects, this would be fantastic!

Other equivalent qualifications recognised internationally like LEED, PassivHaus, Living Building Challenge would be well received, but also not expected.

This will be a flexible part-time or contract home/ desk-based role. Maybe 10 hours per week to start (negotiable), growing if as relationships are developed that lead to more business.

The client is seeking someone who can commit to staying for a significant period of time to help recoup our costs and see the projects through for their clients. Typically a build project from beginning to end can take anywhere from 4-6 months (single house) to 3-5 years (for larger projects).

You'll be reading building plans and specifications and then assessing them against a standard

Youll be pulling documentation from several sources into a consolidated report.

Youll need excellent Excel ability, and be able to analyse data, and to interpret results and create recommendations based on these

Youll need to be incredibly organised - and be able to organise those around you into giving you all the information that you need!

This role includes elements of :

Administration

Project management

Architecture, drafting, surveying , new build administration, property assessment, building

Program coordinator / project administrator

Youll be ensuring the design and build process is as environmentally friendly as possible and ensuring the product as built conforms to the homestar standards

Theres a strong relationship building element to this role, as youll be working with builders, designers and the Homestar organisation.

Self motivation and a desire to see a project from start to finish is key!

Youll need to have the right to work in NZ, and stay in NZ indefinitely.

Please apply if you can see yourself in this challenging role.
