National Women’s Health (NWH, at Auckland City Hospital) supports 6,500 births annually and provides national and regional services, as well as primary, secondary and tertiary maternity and gynaecological services to women. We have established subspecialty services in Maternal Fetal Medicine, Gynaecological Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Fertility.

 Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity

Reporting to the Operations Manager , this role will see you supporting the Gynaecology Oncology Service and assisting clinical staff  contributing to the Multidisciplinary Team (MDM)

Your other duties include:  

  • Maintaining an accurate, on-going record of all Gynaecology patients and provide tracking of patients from referral to treatment and follow-up
  • Preparing and collating relevant documentation/communication and patients notes
  • Liaising with relevant departments
  • Managing Gynaecology Oncology database
  • Assisting in preparing annual reports   

 

Nga PÅ«kenga Motuhake | Important Skills 

To be successful in this role, we are looking for the following:  

  • At least 2 years experience in an admin or customer service role
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft applications
  • Worked in  a similar role in a hospital environment is an advantage
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work with a team of  health practitioners
  • Excellent communication skills and a can do attitude
  • A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and possess strong organisational skills with innovative ideas
