What We Can Offer You:

Class 2 Driver Day Shift â€“ a base rate of Â£16.25 per hour, overtime paid at Â£18.75 per hour (paid after average 40 hours per week) and overtime of Â£21.74 per hour if working a 6th shift in the week.

To illustrate the annualised earning potential, the OTE based on 48 hour working week across 5 days is Â£41,600 p/a plus more Overtime and bonuses.

Class 2 Driver Night Shift â€“ a base rate of Â£16.75 per hour, overtime paid at Â£19.50 per hour (paid after average 40 hours per week) and overtime of Â£23.06 per hour if working a 6th shift in the week.

To illustrate the annualised earning potential, the OTE based on 48 hour working week across 5 days is Â£42,952 p/a plus more Overtime and bonuses.

CHRISTMAS BONUS: We also offer £25.00 per hour (Days) and £26.00 per hour (nights) for Drivers working during our peak weekends this season.

* Rate include location allowances and seasonal payments up to 8th January 2022 which includes £150 per week payment (stated in hourly rate as £3.75 ph).

What You’ll Do:

Night Drivers - Our HGV Class 2 Night Drivers work on shifts, safely transporting parcels from our Depot to a Delivery Unit (that's where our couriers pick them up). You will typically do 2 or 3 'wave' runs a night.

Day Drivers – Our HGV Class 2 Day Drivers safely transport our parcels to Hermes Couriers homes, or they pick up parcels from our local Clients and our Delivery Units bringing them back safely to our Depot. As a Day Driver you will typically have a run with 10 – 15 drops.

Whatever the shift or the route, Hermes Drivers ensure the safe, efficient driving of vehicles and keep their paperwork updated.

Our full time HGV Class 2 driver roles are typically 40 hours a week (5 out of 7 days) but flexible contracts and part time hours are available.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

• You’ll need a full UK driving licence with HGV Class 2 (Cat C) entitlements, driver's CPC and digital tachograph. Newly-qualified drivers are welcome, however all drivers will need to undertake a short driving assessment which Hermes will organise.
• Excellent communication skills
• A safety-first mindset
• Reasonable physical fitness
