We currently have exciting, flexible opportunities for HGV Class 1 Drivers (or Cat C+E Drivers as we sometimes call them) to join our growing depot team. Full-time and part-time shifts are available.

£18.52 Per Hour (£12.77 per hour basic rate plus a location allowance) plus  £16.98 per hour overtime.

What You’ll Do:

Our HGV Class 1 drivers usually drive our longer routes in waves, ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles from depots to our clients and other sites in the Hermes network. You’ll ensure parcels are collected and delivered safely, paperwork updated and assist depot staff with heavier items from time to time. We know the great British roads and weather don’t always play nicely, so you’ll need to keep us updated with any problems. We can then help find an alternative route.

Our HGV Class 1 drivers work on shifts. Full-time contracts are 40 hours per week with some weekend working on a rota basis. Flexible and part-time hours are also available.

Essential Skills & Experience Required:

· You’ll need a full UK driving licence with HGV Class 1 (Cat C+E) entitlements, driver's CPC and digital tachograph. Newly-qualified drivers are welcome, however all drivers will need to undertake a short driving assessment.

· Excellent communication skills

· A safety-first mindset

· Reasonable physical fitness
