What will you be doing?
Working as a dedicated Health and Safety Lead for a Northern Ireland based customer. The Health and Safety Lead is a key named role within the contract with responsibility for all Health and Safety related requirements in relation to the provision of the required services. You will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment for employees, operational compliance with environmental regulations, and fostering a safety culture.
In line with CDM regulation you will:
• Undertake roles of Principal Designer and Principal Contractor on behalf of Vodafone
• Be responsible for Health & Safety procedures, ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations
• Undertake site audits, inspections and risk assessments;
• Identify areas of risk within the business and develop measures to reduce and control.
• Engage with all levels of the workforce to create and develop a positive H&S culture
• Additionally you will work closely with the Vodafone Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, leveraging support and advice and contributing to the wider Vodafone Safety Culture.
Who are we looking for?
• Expert knowledge of Health Safety, Environment Law, including the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations- CDM
• Practical experience of Safety Management System creation, delivery and monitoring.
• Self-Development - Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Environment Agency (EA) legislation
• Self –driven with ability to work with the minimum of supervision, while able to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, suppliers and customers.
• NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
• Chartered membership of IOSH
• Full UK driving licence.
