Key responsibilities:
You’ll build and maintain strong relationships through influence and collaboration at all levels while coordinating our Health, Safety and Food Safety programmes on site. Responsibilities include:
- Translate legislative requirements to achieve practical solutions in a timely manner.
- Credible championing of the site critical risk program to reduce risk and embed corrective actions.
- Work with the team to ensure all risks, hazards, near misses and incidents are reported and investigated promptly and relevant corrective actions are discussed, agreed, applied and reviewed effectively.
- Manage rehabilitation and return to work programs.
- Support the Company Compliance/ Food Safety and Health & Safety Managers in reviewing and maintaining Health, Safety and Food Safety systems and procedures.
- Provide pragmatic advice and guidance, particularly regarding risk, OHS, food and health risk, and wellbeing.
- Assist to develop an engaged culture.

- A proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
- A people focused, hands on and practical approach to support positive and proactive solutions and outcomes.
- A proven collaborative and engaging communication style - listening, written and verbal for a wide audience.
- Solid technical Health and Safety experience and understanding of legislative requirements, regulations and guidelines, to advise and guide our team.
- Experience in operational hazard and risk identification, management, learning teams, analysis and risk mitigation.
- A drive to get things done, while documenting and collating information succinctly and accurately.
- Through analysis and conversations maintain our Health and Food Safety Systems and training competencies.
- Insight to anticipate challenges, read situations and respond appropriately and efficiently to help to keep our people safe and business compliant.
- Be involved to make a difference to our people, safety culture and processes, utilising Safety II, Safety Differently principles.
- Understanding of food production processes, regulations and guidelines.
