Are you an experienced Health Promoter or perhaps a Health Professional or a Teacher, looking for a diverse new role that will see you working with institutional and community stakeholders throughout Otago, championing various public health initiatives on behalf of the Southern DHB? About the opportunity
The Southern DHB Public Health Service currently have an opening best suited to applicants with experience in the field of Heath Promotion and a passion for supporting resilient communities towards improving health and wellbeing.
In this role you will be working autonomously and need to have an innovative approach whilst being familiar with project development and implementation. You will be supported by other experienced Health Promotion Advisors in the district team as well as the Professional Leader. You will have expertise in managing relationships both internally and in the wider community, including stakeholders and NGOs.
About you
It goes without saying that you will be a strategic thinker and an exceptional planner with outstanding organisational skills. A good knowledge of and strong links to the wider Otago communities will be an advantage.
In order to be successful in this role, you will also need to demonstrate the following:
Our Health Promotion Advisors may be required to assist with the ongoing Public Health COVID-19 response. As such, the flexibility to also scale up hours, work out of hours and during weekends is preferrable.
