New Hall Hospital is now one of the busiest spinal hospitals in the UK. We are currently undergoing a £7.5 Million development and we are recruiting.
Our development includes a new theatre, new ward, New Day Surgery unit and a new diagnostic suite. We are so excited to open our new build and continue to support our patients with 5-star care.
We are currently looking for a Theatre Instrument Technician to work within our Theatre Team, to work alongside our outstanding Consultants and Nurses.
The postholder will be responsible and accountable for ensuring that the theatre set-ups are complete: this involves consumables and prosthesis coordination to ensure smooth running of our Operating Theatres.
You will work in conjunction with the Decontamination Department to support the management of loan sets prior to sterilisation and post decontamination in readiness for return to the company.
This is a key role in theatre and the successful candidate will have full onsite training with our friendly and experienced teams. We are supported by our Ramsay Academy which allows all of our teams to start rewarding and successful careers in health care.
Key Accountabilities
Work with theatre coordinators to plan the lists for week
To check all equipment required is present & correct, & escalate to ensure smooth running of theatre list
Learn how to manage relevant documents for no-conformance
To be able to identify different equipment; sets, supplementary instruments and identify the speciality they belong to whilst supported by our speciality leads
To ensure sets are clearly identifiable and tracked using the latest technology
To enjoy working in a fast paced environment
To collaborate with the members of the theatre & CSSD team.
