White Cross Henderson is looking for an experienced Health Care Assistant to join the team. This clinic is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Some weekend and evening work will be required. This is a part time position, 30 hours per week.

You’re a people person, comfortable speaking and working with a wide range of individuals from all sorts of different backgrounds. Compassion and empathy is vital to this roles, as one of the first faces to see each patient as they visit the clinic. Your experience in this space will make you the perfect first point of call for both patients and staff. 

You’ll be confident working independently, and always energised to work – across a variety of hours, and in tougher spots, but always for a cause that’s worth it. There’s no doubt you’ll be faced with some tough situations in this role, but always have the support of a friendly team behind you. 

What you'll bring

It goes without saying you'll be caring and empathetic and have an interest in Healthcare. You must hold an NZQA Level 2 Health Care Assistant Certificate or equivalent​. You'll also be an excellent communicator, comfortable talking to patients and working well with others to see it all runs smoothly – but our warm, friendly teams make that part easy!

Perhaps you've got experience in similar roles behind you and are looking to get stuck into something new? Or maybe you're a medical student keen to get some early exposure to the world of healthcare? Either way, you'll receive plenty of training to set you up quickly, so you won't need to know it all from day one. What we're really after is your enthusiasm to get going!
