Job Description

Due to continuing growth a vacancy has arisen for a Health Safety and Compliance Manager within our Blackburn office. The successful candidate will join long established multi-disciplinary teams.

The workload will be varied and will cover a multitude of sectors, with particular focus on the Healthcare sector .

What you will be doing:;

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary Capita team

  • Carry out site surveys, and report on Health Safety and Compliance matters

  • Review and report on Health Safety and strategies

  • Carry out service reviews across Estates teams and make recommendations

  • Liaise with clients, contractors & other consultants (internal and external)

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience of working within a Health Safety and Compliance role

  • Strong working knowledge of the Premise Assurance Model

  • Strong awareness of HTM’s and relevant Health Safety and compliance legislation

  • Experience of working within Healthcare or a similar complex organisation

  • Ability to establish a good working relationship with clients and colleagues including enforcing authorities

  • Represent Capita in meetings with the client and other external stakeholders

  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimum supervision

  • Ability to prioritise and work to deadlines

  • Good written verbal communication skills and experience of report writing for different levels within an organisation.

  • Ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience 

  • Commitment to CPD within the role

  • Full UK Driving Licence

  • Ability to demonstrate flexible approach to work and willingness to travel/stay away from home for short periods as may be required.

  • Team player

Location:

This role is Blackburn based however travel would be client dependent across the Northwest and potentially national on occasion.
